1st Round - Bye.
St. Paul was ranked number one in the 1975 Class M State Tournament.
2nd Round - Suffield - March 4, 1975.
St. Paul managed plenty of artillery practice as they riddled Suffield's zone defense, and the 109 points the team scored represents a new school record. Brian Corbin set up Sean Moore for a career high 24 points and leading the Falcons with 13 rebounds. Mark Noon had 31 points, had 10 steals and six assists. John Majewski and Frank Owsianko each added 14 points. Brian McCutcheon had a 3 point play to hit the century mark.
Sweet Sixteen - Middletown - March 8, 1975.
St. Paul basketball is not a good place to visit for the weak of heart. The "Cardiac Kids" returned to relative normalcy by topping Middletown High 56-53 before close to 2,000 frenzied folks at Hall High. Mark Pelletier came off the bench as Mr. Clutch by hitting 2 jump shots and four foul shots to trim the Middletown lead to one at 53-52. He then combined with Noon for a steal and Noon converted it into a hoop. St. Paul regained the lead 54 - 53 with less than a minute to play. A series of turnovers and two clutch free throws by John Majewski sealed the win. Brian Corbin had 11 assists and Frank Owsianko had 11 rebounds and Sean Moore garnered 8. Mark Noon scored 26 points and had 7 steals. That was the last defeat for Middletown freshmen Corny Thompson as he won 75 straight games and 3 State Championships.
Final Four - Woodrow Wilson - March 12, 1975.
St. Paul the top ranked Hartford County Conference Falcons advanced to the championship game for the second straight year winning 62-33. Coach Gary Palladino credited his staff and a great scouting report in the lopsided win. Sean Moore and Mark Pelletier did a great job defending 6'9 Darryl Barnes. Brian Corbin had eight assists and Mark Noon led all scorers with 22. John Majewski scored 18 and Frank Owsianko had 10 points, and 8 rebounds.
Championship - Ansonia - March 15, 1975.
The Falcons left no room for debate regarding their status as Connecticut's best team in the state by beating Ansonia 59 - 38. The team that made state history last year by winning 5 tourney games by a total of nine points turned into a juggernaut in 1975, thrashing four opponents by an aggregate of 102 points. Led by seniors Brian Corbin, Mark Noon, Frank Owsianko, Rob Zile, Mark Pelletier, and John Majewski the Falcons closed it out with their 2nd straight State Championship. Mark Noon was named the MVP for the second year in a row.
