On May 4, 1991, Mark Noon was inducted into the University of Hartford's alumni athletic Hall of Fame. Noon was among the first 10 people and youngest at 34 to be inducted in the Hawks Hall of Fame.
Mark Noon equaled the single-game scoring record held by Gary Palladino on February 20, 1978 when he registered  45 points against Lowell University. Coach Palladino established the mark on February 26, 1966 versus City College of  New York. The scoring record still stands after 56 years for the two players from Bristol, Ct
 
Hartford Civic Center collapsed on 1/18/1978.
The University of Hartford defeated Amherst College on Tuesday 1/17/1978 at the Hartford Civic Center. The roof collapsed five hours later at 4:19 AM. It is believed the overnight build-up of snow and ice from storm "Igor" caused the structure to cave in. The Hawks beat the Amherst Lord Jeffs, Mark Noon was the games leading scorer with 22 pts.

Noon is the only player in NCAA Division II history playing in less than 100 games with more than 2,000 points, 500 assists, 400 rebounds, 150 steals, and shooting over 55 %. The career field goal percentage continues to be a school record since 1979.
Hartford Notes:

On March 13, 1979 the University of Hartford Student Association Executive Board adopted a resolution recognizing the athletic achievements of Mark Noon, and to retire his number 12. Motion seconded, and passed 17-0-1.
Noon is the only player in NCAA history to have his number retired by the University Student Association and not by the Athletic Department.

On January 21, 1978 the University of Hartford beat Eastern Connecticut at the U of H Physical Education Center. Mark Noon had a triple-double with 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists.
